Applying for housing

If you wish to apply to rent a home, you will need to complete and return an application form, which you can download from the Associated Publications area on the right. We currently have a waiting list for our properties and the length of time you will have to wait will depend on your housing need compared to others on the waiting list and the demand for different properties. You can also download details of our lettings in the last 6 months; this document gives some idea of current waiting times for different types of property.

We keep our own register and we also manage a register on behalf of Eden District Council. By completing one application form you will automatically be placed on both registers unless you choose not to.

Most of our properties are allocated to people from Eden District Council’s (EDC’s) register and priority is given to those people in greatest housing need. When you apply you will be awarded points in line with EDC’s Allocations Policy, which you can also download from the Associated Publications area.
