Funding

Every year ECHO reserves part of their funds to give to local community groups in the form of Grants.  The maximum grant is £500.  Previously, grants have been given to Tenants' and Residents' Associations for work on their estates, community groups for work they've been undertaking locally, or to local groups like the CAB, or East Cumbria Family Support for services they've provided in the district.  Youth sports teams are also considered for sponsorship. 

ECHO prefers to give money to organisations that are locally based in the District.  Completed grant applications are considered by members at their bi-monthly meetings, with applicants receiving funding within a few weeks of a positive decision being taken. If you are interested in applying for funding for your group, you can complete the application form which can be downloaded from the Related Documents area to the right.
