Tebay comes out to Play - Playday is the annual celebration of children’s right to play. It is a national campaign where, each year, thousands of children and young people get out and play at locally organised events.

Eden Housing Association supported the campaign providing an afternoon of fun and entertainment on the sports field at Tebay.  Astral Circus keep everyone entertained with a fantastic performance, and the children got a chance to be up-close and personal with the animals from Wetheriggs Rescue Centre. Three Young Leaders organised sports games and Barnardo's 'Little Kickers' offered fun for the younger children.  There were various side stalls, face painting and refreshments, including decorate your own biscuit from Tebay's Old Tea Room.
 
The afternoon was a great success with up to 200 people attending.  Thank you to everyone for coming out to enjoy this event and showing true community spirit.
