Carlisle Extra Care Scheme presentation to local forum

Details of Carlisle's new Extra Care Scheme are to be discussed at Belle Vue Neighbourhood Forum on Monday. John Clasper, Operations Director at Eden Housing Association will present plans for the new Heysham Extra Care Village to be built in the Belle Vue ward of Carlisle. With over £9 million investment, the scheme has £4.7 million funding from the Department of Health and will create 60 homes for sale, shared ownership and rent. It is aimed at local people who have a need for care and support but who still want to remain independant. Aimed at the 55+ age group, it will also be available for younger people with disabilities.
