Grisedale Croft, Alston

In the rural town of Alston we provide 5 homes (1 flat and 4 bed sits) on two floors that are fitted with stair lifts. The flats have private accommodation with shared bathrooms and a communal lounge. Supported Housing officers provide support two mornings per week.

Rampkin House Extra Care, Appleby

This scheme was built in 1973 and has now completed a major refurbishment. The scheme offers 13 one bedroom flats and 6 bungalows – there are also communal gardens for residents to enjoy. This is an Extra Care scheme and Cumbria Care is on hand 24 hours a day for tenants with a care package. They also provide emergency care for all tenants in the scheme. Our Supported Housing Officers provide daytime support 7 days a week.

Wasdale, Shap

Wasdale is located 9 miles from Penrith in the rural village of Shap. Originally built in 1979 it was remodelled in 2009/10 at a cost of £1.8M, creating 15 modern flats and three bungalows.  A lift has also been installed to make first floor access easier.  The communal lounge is light and bright and the scheme is very much part of Shap's community activity.

The surrounding area has some stunning views and the scheme also has well maintained communal gardens.  Supported Housing Officers are on duty daily. Careline provides cover when they are not on duty.

Mill Gardens, Kirkby Stephen

Nestled by the banks of the River Eden, this scheme is set in large private grounds and consists of 9 one bedroom flats and 11 bed sits.  24 hour support is provided, either from Supported Housing Officers or Careline when they are not on duty.
