Support Services for our communities
Eden Housing Association’s support services do not just focus on older people. We are committed to providing support, reassurance and peace of mind to people who feel vulnerable, at risk, alone or isolated within the community.
Operating across a wide range of support services, we aim to maintain a high quality, person-centred approach that helps them maintain as much independence as possible. Our support team manages 6 sheltered housing schemes in Penrith and around Eden - including Extra Care facilities at Rampkin House, Appleby.
We have also added a mobile visiting service to older and vulnerable people in the community and work with Community Alarms to provide clients with a quick means to call for assistance in an emergency.
Developing communities is very important to us. We have an active intergenerational group which benefits both older and younger people in our communities – this initiative has fostered a greater understanding across all ages and we are very proud to see it develop. We accept referrals from a wide range of sources including Social Services, Community Support workers and GPs as well as individuals, their families or carers.
We are proud of our accreditations and work hard to maintain this high level of service:
Cumbria County Council Certificate of Accreditation for Supporting People
Level B accreditation for the Service Review
Centre for Sheltered Housing Studies
Certificate of Achievement for the Code of Practice for Sheltered Housing Services
