The Penrith summer fun day has raised over £1,600 which will be shared by three local organisations. The fun day, held in the summer holidays at Penrith RUFC was a joint affair; with local groups working together to create a value for money family event that could also raise funds for nominated charities.

The event raised £1,637.23 and was jointly organised by Eden Housing Association (EHA), working with ECHO (their Residents Assembly), INSPIRA and Penrith RUFC. Their nominated charities were Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, the Great North Air Ambulance and Penrith RUFC Youth Rugby, each receiving a cheque for £545.74.
