We’ve been fundraising to buy much needed gifts for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland 
Over the Christmas period, we held soup and sweet lunches, raffles, lucky squares, and sales through our tuck shop to raise over £350 which has been used to purchase gifts off Hospice at Home’s Amazon Wishlist. Among the gifts are bereavement cards, a digital camera, cd player, towels, and a variety of craft equipment which will be of benefit to those being cared for by their clinical staff, complimentary therapists and family support teams.
Douglas Ross our Chair commented “We’re delighted with the fundraising efforts of our staff who have raised money throughout the year. Not only is this a great opportunity for staff to get together and socialise, it also helps boost the Association’s chosen charity, Hospice at Home, who work tirelessly to ensure those in need can receive the care and support to remain in their own homes. Their values align with those of EHA, where we also provide support to our tenants, to remain in their homes and supported living accommodation for as long as they wish.”

As their charity partner, we have been extremely grateful to receive over £10,000 through various fundraisers and sponsorships over the years. This generous donation of items from our Amazon wish list, including essential items for our clinical staff, specialised dementia jigsaws, and thoughtful gifts for bereaved patients, will significantly enhance our ability to provide compassionate care. These items not only improve the quality of care we deliver in patients’ homes but also bring comfort and support to those navigating the challenges of life-limiting illnesses, symptom management, and grief. Your kindness and support mean the world to us and to the families we support. As a local charity, we rely on raising 86% of our funding from within our community. Without the support of local businesses and individuals, we simply wouldn’t be able to continue our vital work. Thank you for making a difference in our community”
