Development Officer 20 hours per week (flexible working available)
Location Penrith, Cumbria
Salary: £30k plus benefits (pro-rata)
We’re ideally looking for a skilled and can-do Development Officer to join us. Whilst appropriate experience is desireable, we want to make sure that we find a person with the right attitude to help strengthen our organisation for the benefit of our tenants and local communities.
The hours and place of work can be agreed to work best for both the right person and the Association.
You will play a key role in seeking out land, house-purchases and building opportunities whilst project managing the Association’s small, on-site affordable homes development programme with the support of commissioned development experts.
Maybe you have experience of land acquisitions or another aspect of housing development and/or a relevant qualification. We commit to investing in your future personal development.

Information Communications Apprenticeship
After 18 months in the post you will have achieved an Information Communications Technician Level 3 award, alongside works experience in a sector where the skills you develop will be relevant in any work environment.
Eden Housing Association is a successful small independent Registered Provider of affordable homes with a rural focus.
We now operate chiefly across North Cumbria owning and/or managing around 1,982 homes for affordable rent or sale, and act as Managing Agents for Mitre Housing Association, Allonby Almshouses, and Lyvennet Community Trust.

Responsibilities & Duties
To assist the ICT Team with the delivery of a high quality, widely respected and customer-influenced ICT service which serves to achieve the Association’s corporate aims and objectives.
- To assist the ICT Manager in providing technical support and maintenance on all ICT systems
- Assist with the role out of new hardware and software installations
- Assist with maintaining documentation and the ICT asset inventory
- Provide general administrative support to the ICT team
- Assist with logging support incidents and providing first line ICT support to users
- To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required by the ICT Manage

- GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade C, 9 to 4, or Functional Skills Level 2
- GCSE IT at grade C or above (preferred but not essential)

Customer Scrutiny Panel
We are recruiting new members to form a Customer Scrutiny Panel – would you be interested?
The Customer Panel will be able to challenge Eden Housing Association on the quality of our services.
As a member of the Panel you would give an independent view on how we are performing and the processes we use, highlight what is good about our current service and what needs to change.
Members of the Panel are volunteers but we reimburse travel, childcare costs and other out of pocket expenses. You will be given full training to allow you the skills to fulfil the role.
