ICT Support

Salary – £18,387

(37 hours per week)

Temporary three month position

The ICT Team has an opportunity for someone to join them on a temporary basis for three months.

The role would be to assist with the role out of new hardware and software installations, including documentation and the ICT asset inventory.  They would also provide general administrative support to the ICT team and assist with logging support incidents and providing first line ICT support to users.

Casual Scheme Coordinator

Hourly rate £11.02

We are looking to recruit Casual Scheme Coordinators to cover our Assisted Living and Extra Care Schemes in Penrith, Carlisle, Shap, Appleby and Kirkby Stephen.

This is a key role delivering a high quality independent living service to customers in our extra care scheme in any of the above locations.

Duties include working with the Extra Care Co-ordinator and Support and Activity Advisor to deliver day to day tasks of housing support together with organising and delivering a variety of services for the residents. The post holder will act as an advocate for residents, organising and facilitating services which will help maintain independence and maintain quality of life for residents. It will involve liaising with any care teams and will involve regular contact with all residents and as appropriate their support circle which may include family and friends. Other duties will include health and safety inspections including fire alarm and equipment testing.

Eden Housing Association is a successful community based independent Registered Provider of affordable homes with a rural focus.  We were established in 1997 following the Large Scale Voluntary Transfer of housing stock from Eden District Council.  We now operate across North Cumbria owning and/or managing around  2,000 homes for affordable rent or sale, and act as Managing Agents for Mitre Housing Association and Lyvennet Community Trust. We also provide the statutory homelessness and housing options service on behalf of Eden District Council.

Our homes are generally located in areas of strong housing demand and relatively high market values.  Most of our homes cater for general family needs, with around 10% specifically designed for older people.  Tenants and residents are at the heart of everything we do, and a range of opportunities are offered and continually refreshed for local people to get involved with our work.

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic voluntary Tenant Board Member who would assist with ensuring that our strategic objectives are delivered. 

Our current Board membership consists of eight male and three female Members.  Our aim is to ensure we have a balanced Board that appropriately reflects the demographics of our community, and we would welcome interest from tenants of all ages with relevant skills and experience.

As a Board Member you would be required to attend, or in the current world participate remotely, in early evening Board meetings which are typically held every second month and, in addition, ‘attend’ Committee meetings (currently 3 times a year) and occasional events as required.  Full training and support will be provided in your new role.  The role is voluntary and not remunerated, but all reasonable expenses will be covered.

Customer Scrutiny Panel

We are recruiting new members to form a Customer Scrutiny Panel – would you be interested?

The Customer Panel will be able to challenge Eden Housing Association on the quality of our services.

As a member of the Panel you would give an independent view on how we are performing and the processes we use, highlight what is good about our current service and what needs to change.

Members of the Panel are volunteers but we reimburse travel, childcare costs and other out of pocket expenses. You will be given full training to allow you the skills to fulfil the role.
